Hi! I'm Roni Joyce. You may be thinking, what makes me qualified to do a podcast like this? And my answer would be absolutely nothing ...except maybe the fact that our wise and awesome God created me a woman, blessed me to be a wife (to a awesome, imperfect hunk of a man), and gifted me with three beautifully complex children (now all adults), each with uniquely special abilities to sanctifying their mother. They each take their jobs very seriously even when they don't know they're at work. As if that were not enough our generous God has so loving blessed me with two very sweet grandchildren who don't seem to want to sanctify me at all (at least not yet. I think they're waiting for me to put my guard down) and I love them for it!
After all that, if I'm honest, I still don't feel "qualified". What I feel is called to the work of walking alongside women in every walk of life. It is something I have done for most of my life. Even before I began walking with Jesus. I think often about many of those poor girls I walked with before Him and I always send up a quiet pray "Lord, please let them be alright. Please don't let me have totally messed them up!" If you are one of them, I am so sorry! Since meeting Jesus I spent 10 years leading, writing and teaching women's bible studies, many years mentoring (something I still do today) and the past 8 year as a Certified Biblical Counselor (No, it is not the same as Christian Counseling).
My passion and deep desire is to see women love God with all they have and in so doing come to rethink and embrace the awesome beauty of what it means to be women, wives and mothers after Gods own heart. There is nothing on Earth like a women and nothing more beautiful than a godly woman.
Meet Teresa Peterson
Wife, Mother and Co-host
My name is Teresa Peterson. I am passionate about Jesus Christ, His will and sanctification in my life. My desire is for women to know the Lord and to come to the knowledge of truth.
I'm the wife to an amazing husband, Doug, we have been married for 14 years. We have a blended family with our now adult children which makes us empty nesters.
My thoughts on being a godly woman, wife and mother are simple. First, be fully submitted to God, second, be a wife who is lovingly submitted to her husband and third be a mother who honors and gives glory to God in how she raises her children. We do this through love, nurture, discipline, and most of all prayer. Her home is her mission field.
